Storm’s A-Brewin’ (The Fun Kind!): Join Us for the 2026 Storm Lacrosse Picnic! Dust off your sticks and grab your lawn chairs—it’s time for the Rocky Mountain Storm Lacrosse Picnic! We are calling all players, coaches, and families to Maple Grove Park for an evening of community, food, and (of course) plenty of lacrosse. The Game Plan When: Wednesday, May 13, 2026 Time:5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Where: Maple Grove Park (14600 W. 32nd Avenue, Wheat Ridge) What’s on the Menu? The Storm Lacrosse organization is handling the heavy lifting—we’ll have burgers, hot dogs, and limited beverages ready for everyone. To round out the feast, we’re asking each grade level to contribute a specific “side-to-share”: Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd Grade: Toppings Platter (Lettuce, tomato, pickles, bacon, etc.) 3rd & 4th Grade: Chips 5th & 6th Grade: Dessert 7th Grade: Fruit 8th Grade: Salads Fun & Gear It wouldn’t be a Storm event without some action. We’ll have pick-up LAX games going (goals and tennis balls provided), so be sure to bring your own sticks! All ages are encouraged to jump in. Don’t forget to pack: Blankets and chairs Your favorite outdoor lawn games Sunscreen and Storm spirit! Parking (The Important Stuff!) Parking at Maple Grove is very limited, with only 75 spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is NO street parking. To keep things smooth, please consider carpooling. If the main lot is full, you can find overflow parking in the dirt lot or nearby at the Jefferson Unitarian Church (14350 W. 32nd Avenue). Lend a Hand Want to help make this picnic a success? Boys Winter Clinics are open to all skill levels! Let your friends know….if you get a friend to register, let me know and we’ll give you a Storm Hat! Cost: $120 Dates: Fridays – December 5, 12 and 19th Time: 4:55pm – 5:55pm Location: Apex Field House: 5724 Oak St, Arvada, CO 80002 Full pads are required. Storm is not hosting fall evaluations this year. We are instead moving evaluations and team placements to the winter season after spring registration closes. These evaluations will be for all registered players in grades 4-8 for the boys and 7th grade girls.Teams will be determined after these evaluations. These evaluations are mandatory for all registered players in the grades mentioned above. Please save the dates. Learn To Play Little Stormies Winter clinics- registration open! Boys and Girls! November 7, 14 and 21st at the APEX Fieldhouse: 5724 Oak St, Arvada, CO 80002 Time: 4:55pm to 5:55pm. Cost: $35 Sticks and tennis balls only. No equipment necessary. If you need a stick, we will have some for you to borrow. *no cleats allowed, must wear flat tennis shoes or turf shoes* This program is for new players to 2 years of experience for both Boys and Girls. We do NOT recommend for experienced players. We expect the majority of kids to be grades K thru 4th, but we are not going to limit the grades of kids registered. Learn to play clinic- drills and games to teach the game of lacrosse Please arrive early as the end time comes fast. We’re looking for players and chaperones to walk with us in this vibrant community event. This is your chance to represent Storm Lacrosse, hand out candy, and celebrate our amazing community from inside the parade itself! What to expect: Show off your Storm pride and connect with other lacrosse families. Join a parade featuring colorful floats and lively marching bands. Bring your stick, pass out candy, and help honor the Storm community. Parade staging & pancake breakfast begins at 7:00am @ Vanderhoof Elementary School Parade begins at 9:00am Spots are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
